CORPORATE NAME: Empire East Land Holdings, Inc. The company was incorporated under the laws of the Philippines and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on July 15, 1994. It is an affiliate of Megaworld Corporation, a corporation listed in the Stock Exchange. Prior to incorporation, Empire East Land Holdings, Inc. was the Community Housing Division of Megaworld. This division was responsible for the development of affordable mass housing projects (condominium communities or house and lot packages), and sale/lease of commercial and industrial space. In 1994, Megaworld management made a decision to separate its core business into high-rise residential and office accommodations and master-planned townhouse communities on one hand, and lower and middle income housing on the other hand.
